About Edexcel science courses

Edexcel's collection of science qualifications is called '360 Science'. It includes the compulsory Core Science along with Additional Science and the individual sciences, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It also includes an Entry Level Certificate in Science, which is at a level below GCSE, and BTEC First Certificate & First Diplomas in Applied Science – specialist work-related qualifications.

There are four routes for GCSE science with varying degrees of internal and external assessment. If you're taking triple science, you can take a different route for each. The extension units cover the extra content for separate (triple) sciences.
