How I can help:

Who do I teach? Teenagers.
What subjects? Science and Maths. (see maths-gcse-tuition.co.uk for maths)
What level? Up to GCSE and A'level - secondary school level. I specialise in GCSE and I have a colleague who will help you with A-level maths and science.
Where? In the home - yours or mine if you live in the Bristol area, or over the internet using interactive whiteboard, internet phone, google documents and other online resources.

What happens during a tutoring session? This does depend on the student's requirements, but in general, there are three elements:
- First, I help students keep up to date with their school work. It's very important not to fall behind.
- Secondly, we work through the syllabus content making sure that the student creates useful notes and learns how to test themselves and learn as they go.
- Thirdly, we practice exam-style questions.
What's my style? My primary objective is to increase confidence. I encourage students to enjoy investigating the subject - asking questions all the time. We work to an agreed plan and enjoy the process or learning. I use and teach accelerated learning techniques where appropriate.

When am I available? Teaching and coaching are my main professions and my diary is flexible so, diary willing, I can teach at any time to suit you.
