OCR Gateway Science B (J640)

About this course

This course, normally taken during year 10, is assessed by two exam papers plus a practical task and report.

There are six modules: biology (B1, B2), chemistry (C1, C2) and physics (P1, P2) arranged in Units as follows:

Unit 1 - modules B1, C1, P1: 1 hour paper, 33.33%
Unit 2 - modules B2, C2, P2: 1 hour paper, 33.33%
Unit 3 - 'Can-Do' tasks and report on Science in the News, 33.33%

Each 1 hour paper contains sections for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Each can be assessed in January or Summer.
